Since 2009, the 21st day of September is observed every year as Founders day to memorialize the achievements and legacy of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and is marked with various events across the country.
The Founder’s Treat is an event organized to celebrate and commemorate the birth of Ghana’s first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. This year, as part of the celebrations, a group of popular Ghanaian artistes will be mounting the stage in concert on Wednesday, 20th September, 2017 at the Amphitheatre of Alliance Francaise Accra starting at 8pm. It will be a fashion music and Art show with a full Ghanaian Cultural ambience.
Without any doubt, the night will see the audience screaming for more from some selected artistes like Irene Logan, neo soul vocalist, songwriter, performer and actress; Efya, Ghana’s ‘rap doctor’ , Okyeame Kwame and Best Rapper and Hip-Hop song of the year winner at the 2017 edition of the Ghana Music Awards; M.anifest. Organizers promise nothing but the best for the night and a good treat to the audience to usher them into the holiday.
The event will also have cultural and artistic vibe with a performance from AFODAT to welcome guests and also a historic Drama about Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.
Founder’s Treat will also give an opportunity to up and coming talents like Veana Negasi, Phabrick and Darry. Expect flying of sky lanterns to climax the event and express gratitude to DR. Kwame Nkrumah.
