The Management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has interdicted two medical doctors and two nurses over their alleged failure to provide emergency medical care to a hit-and-run victim.
The decision, announced in a statement issued on Monday, 23rd February 2026, follows an incident that reportedly resulted in the unfortunate death of the victim.
According to the statement, the interdiction forms part of established administrative procedures to allow for a full and impartial investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case.
A committee has been constituted to conduct a thorough inquiry and determine the facts.
Management indicated that the move is intended to ensure transparency and accountability while the investigation is ongoing.
The Board and Management have also called on all persons connected to the matter to cooperate fully with the committee to facilitate a fair and transparent process.
The hospital reaffirmed its commitment to the delivery of quality healthcare services and assured the public that further information will be communicated upon completion of the investigation.
