GFA to get new President on September 27 after Nyantakyi’s axe

The Ghana Football Association will hold its Elective Congress on September 27, 2019.

The Normalisation Committee (NC) will supervise the election of new leaders for the association next month.

On 7th June 2018, President Akufo-Addo dissolved the GFA after a private investigative company, Tiger Eye PI documented rampant bribery and corruption in the game.

Sports Minister Isaac Asiama confirmed the dissolution and said all its officers can no longer carry themselves as FA officials.

However, Deputy Attorney General, Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, clarified the earlier statement by Isaac Asiamah that the government has dissolved the GFA and suspended all football activities following the airing of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ latest documentary which exposed bribery and corruption in Ghana football.
