The Black Satellites of Ghana have qualified to the knockout stage of the ongoing U-20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Ghana defeated Central African Republic 1-0 on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia to qualify as winners of Group C with 7 points after 3 games.

With the game nearly ending goalless, Joseph Opoku’s opoku last minute goal proved to be the decider as the Ghanaian cruised to a slim margin victory to advance to the next stage.

The Young Terenga Lions of Senegal also picked up the second place spot in Group C with 4 points after beating DR Congo 2-0 in their final group game.

DR Congo on the other hand will have to wait for a place in the third best placed teams after accumulating 4 points after 3 games.

Central African Republic have been eliminated from the 2025 U-20 African Cup of Nations in Egypt with just a point.
