The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that they have received the $100,000 paid as legal fees to Davies and Davies Law Firm in the Globacom Arbitration money.

The FA had earlier announced receiving $900,000 instead of $1m in the Glo Arbitration money which was paid in November and received by former Ghana FA Normalisation Committee president Dr Kofi Amoah.

Dr. Kofi Amoah without authorization from the Ghana FA paid $100,000 to Law firm as Legal fees.

Kofi Amoah in a press release directed Lawyer Frank Davies to send the money back to the FA following criticisms from the media and public over the conduct and payment of the legal fees without the FA’s approval or knowledge.

The Ghana Football Association confirmed they have received the money on Tuesday.

“Subsequent to our press release dated Friday 29th November, 2019 on the above subject, the Ghana Football Association wishes to confirm that the $100,000 US Dollars, being 10% of the $1m arbitration money paid to Davies & Davies Law Firm by the former Normalisation Committee of the GFA as legal fees for retrieving the money from Glo, has been returned to the FA by the recipient.

The money was returned to the GFA today, Tuesday December 3, 2019 and it has since been deposited into the accounts of the FA.
