Ghana will face Mali in the quarterfinals of the FIFA U17 World Cup after recording a 2-0 win over Niger.

The Black Starlets are on cause to win their third World Cup title having sealed through to the last eight.

Captain Eric Ayiah’s penalty goal and a screamer from substitute Richard Danso handed Ghana a victory over their African counterparts.

The former World Champions will take on another African nemesis (Mali)  in what will be a repeat of the Africa U17 Championship finals.

Mali who also made it to the quarterfinals after walloping Iraq 5-1 defeated Ghana in the finals of the Africa U17 Championship in Gabon early this year.

The two side for the second time in the year face off at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Saturday.
