President of Phar Rangers Football Club Nana Yaw Amponsah has scathingly likened Ghana football association to a stroke stricken brand.
Nana Yaw, who doubles as a Sports Lawyer and FIFA intermediary intimated that football in the country is sick and it’s having a telling effect on our various national teams.
In an interview on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports, the astute football administrator said, “I will say Ghana football is in a state of stroke.” I compared it with stroke because some parts of it is still functioning.”
Amponsah was coy when asked if the referees are major contributors to the supposed ailing sports.
“But some of us [administrators] are making some people rich, and we need to change our attitudes Every week, some group of people enrich themselves while administrators suffer the brunt of it and until all administrators agree to end this, the canker will continue to destroy our game.
“We forget that the people we’re using against our colleagues are the same people whom they’re using against us, so at the end of the day we are like pawns in their hands because they’re rather making money off us. I used us because I’m part of the system,” he concluded.
