The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed 27 new cases of Mpox as of Monday, September 1, 2025. This brings the country’s total number of confirmed cases to 494 since the outbreak.

In GHS latest update, the Service reported no new deaths, maintaining the cumulative death toll at one. Currently, one patient is on admission receiving treatment.

GHS reminded the public that Mpox spreads mainly through close contact with someone who is infected.

It advised Ghanaians to remain vigilant, practice good personal hygiene, and seek medical attention promptly if they develop symptoms such as fever, headache, rashes, swollen lymph nodes, or muscle pain.

The Service emphasized that early detection and treatment are critical in managing the disease and preventing further spread.
