Organizers of the NDC Ghana Victory Concert have announced the removal of Stonebwoy from the list of performers for the event scheduled on Sunday, January 5, 2025.

In a statement released on Friday, January 3, 2025, the organizers explained that the decision was prompted by a public campaign from netizens calling for the artiste’s exclusion, as well as concerns raised by party communicators. They stated, “Responding to public sentiments and feedback from the party’s grassroots, we have decided to remove Stonebwoy from the concert lineup.”

The organizers acknowledged flaws in their approach to selecting performers and apologized to the party’s grassroots for the oversight. They also extended an apology to Stonebwoy’s team, calling the situation an unfortunate outcome.

The decision has sparked widespread debate online, with netizens sharing mixed reactions about Stonebwoy’s removal.

👨🏾‍🍳🇬🇭: You guys remember when Arbwoy dropped Jejereje & the NDC used it for the social media campaign for the 2024 elections?

Today, he’s not fit to headline their victory rally. Nyame nkoaa na ɔyɛ nokwarefoɔ
