Ghanaians concerned over Nigeria's silence on Afua Asantewaa Singathon attempt

Ghanaian social media users have expressed displeasure about the absence of support from the Nigerian social media community to Ghanaian singathon attempt maker, Afua Asantewaa.

Afua Asantewaa is on her way to breaking the present record of 120 hours, as today Wednesday, December 27, 2023 marks her fourth and final day.

Social media users have argued that the said attempt is a win for not just Ghana, but the African continent, which includes Nigeria. This motive was carried by many Ghanaians when Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci attempted to break the longest cooking time (individual) earlier this year.

Nevertheless, Ghanaians far and wide have joined in unity to support Afua Asantewaa at the Akwabaa Village, Accra accompanied with a lineup of showbiz personalities, including Kwabena Kwabena, Efya, Sista Afia, Afronitaa, Delay, Cina Soul, Clemento Suarez, Akuapem Poloo, Lawyer Nti, Piesie Esther, and OB Amponsah, Shatta Wale and other socialites were at the venue to support Asantewaa’s extraordinary endeavor.

Have you chanced on any Nigerian celebrity or blogger posting about Afua’s singa-thon? But Ghanaians no make we sleep when it was Hilda. Let’s Learn to mind our business and promote ours.

They have practiced a culture of supporting their own no matter what

I stand to be corrected but I’ve not seen Nigerians supporting us like the way we did for them (Hilda . )

Hmm

It’s all well
Keep going 🫶🏽https://t.co/zgR3jBgpKz
