As Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, prepare to face the Central African Republic in a decisive 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying match, citizens across the country are calling for an all-out victory to secure the nation’s place in the global tournament.

Some Ghanaians told Happy Kaseɛbɔ, that, if is their strong desire for the team to win today’s match, emphasizing that qualification is critical following the country’s failure to reach the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). “We didn’t make it to AFCON, so this is our chance to make things right,” one fan stated.

Ghana currently leads Group I with 19 points, but qualification is not yet guaranteed. A win against the Central African Republic would push the Black Stars to 22 points, effectively sealing their spot in the 2026 World Cup.

Supporters say the team must “do everything possible” to secure the win, highlighting the emotional and national significance of the match.

With the final group fixture against Comoros still ahead, many believe today’s game presents the best opportunity to confirm Ghana’s qualification.
