Ghana’s Black Stars B will be arriving today from the WAFU tournament held in Senegal, to begin preparations for the second leg of the Championship for African Nations (CHAN) Qualifier, Happy Sports can confirm.

Ghana lost to Senegal in the final of the WAFU Cup on Sunday and the team must now turn their attention to the second leg of the CHAN qualifier which comes off on 20 October, 2019 in Ouagadougou.

The Local Stallions defeated the Black Stars B by a lone goal in the first leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium a fort night.
Ghana met Burkina Faso in the quarter-finals of the WAFU Cup and revenged that defeat they suffered in the first leg by eliminating the local Stallions in the penalty shoot-out.

Speaking in an interview with Odi Asempa on Anopa Bosuo Sports, Media Officer for the Black Stars B team, Opoku Afriyie indicated that the team will arrive today and head straight to camp to begin preparations for the second leg.

“There is another difficult task ahead of us against Burkina Faso in the CHAN qualifier. We will head straight to camp and prepare for the game. The team will be arriving today and hopefully by 8pm we should be in Ghana”

Concerning the allowances for the players and technical team, he said, we have been promised by the Sports Ministry and they have tasked us to qualify for the CHAN tournament by eliminating Burkina Faso.

“The team is very ready for the game against Burkina Faso. The coach wants to keep the team in shape ahead of the Burkina Faso game”, he added.
