The Ministry of Finance has announced that, the country’s economy continues to exceed expectations, as it has defied all challenges and solidified its position as one of the most dynamic economies in the Africa region.

According to the ministry, data released by the Ghana statistical Service (GSS) underscores the country’s remarkable economic performance during the third quarter of 2024.

The ministry in a statement mentioned that, the remarkable growth trajectory could be sustained through strategic government growth- oriented initiatives aimed at enhancing economic resilience and improving the standard of living of all Ghanaians.

The statement identified the following programmes expected to improve the standard of living of Ghanaians: planting for Food and Jobs Phase 2 programme, SME Growth and Opportunity Programme, Economic Enclave Programme and Ghana CARES Programme.

“for the first three quarters of 2024 Ghana recorded an impressive average real GDP growth rate of 6.3%, a significant leap from 2.6% recorded during the same period of 2023”.

The statement also highlighted the growth of the non- oil sector to 6.2% for the first three quarters of 2024 as compared to 2.6% in 2023.
