Management of the Ghana Institute of Journalism has issued a statement for the deferment of programmes of all students who paid tuition fees after the registration deadline.
The communique , dated Monday, March 22, signed by the academic affairs and approved by the Rector of the Institution, Professor Kwamena Kwansah-Aidoo , gave no reason for such a decision.
The release of the statement on Tuesday, March 23, shook the student body of the Institute immensely as it was unanticipated and they have thus expressed their displeasure over such an outrageous decision by the management.
Some students have however planned to lobby against the decision of the Institution’s management by going on a protest on Wednesday, March 24.
Meanwhile, so many people have taken to their social media platforms to register their displeasure about the insensitive call that students should defer their courses for failure to meet their school fees deadline.
