Nurses and midwives in the Ashanti Region have entered day three of their strike, crippling emergency and outpatient services across major hospitals.
At the Pampaso Children’s Hospital and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, staff are discharging recovering patients without notice. Health workers are also turning away new cases, including pregnant women seeking urgent care.
The industrial action, led by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, has left many patients stranded and confused.
Some affected patients spoke to Happy Kaseɛbɔ sharing their frustrations and fears as they struggled to access basic healthcare.
