Group calling it self Movement for Truth and Accountability has petition the Special Prosecutor against the commissioner General of Ghana Revenue Authority Mr. Kofi Nti over what they describe as endorsing corruption in customs.

According to the group, they called the attention of the leadership of GRA to look into cases of theft, fraud and misconduct of Mr. Edward Osei who was involved in that and they believe he [Edward Ose] is depriving the state of maximum revenue realization.

However, the group claimed the then assistant commissioner responded to their call and investigated the matter and presented their findings to Kofi Nti, to act on it and to press charges against Edward Osei. But Kofi Nti refused to look into the matter and rather promoted Mr. Osei from Acting Assistant to Assistant Commissioner and transferred him to Elubo in the Western Region of Ghana.

In view of this, the group believe Kofi Nti is endorsing corruption in customs therefor the Movement for Truth and Accountability is calling on the special prosecutor to look into the matter and make determination of it.

The group convener Joseph Bediako on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show said they will follow this case to its logical conclusion and that they will fight for the good people of Ghana till their last breath.
