The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has dismissed allegations by the Minority Leader regarding water shortages in Winneba and its surrounding communities.
According to the Minority Leader, residents have been experiencing persistent supply challenges, which he attributed to government’s failure to invest in water infrastructure.
However, the Managing Director of GWCL, Muta Wakilo, insists that there have been no major disruptions in the area. He clarified that routine maintenance works along the Kasoa–Winneba road are being wrongly portrayed as evidence of political neglect.
