National Women’s Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hanna Louisa Bissiw has launched a verbal attack on the Communications Minister Ursula Owusu Ekuful over her recent brothels and witches comments.

According to her, the people which Ursula Owusu described as witches will be the same people to queue to vote in the 2020 general elections.

Hanna Bissiw speaking to Happy FM’s Joseph Nii Ankrah at the inauguration of the 21-member manifesto committee for the NDC said. “Ursula is just talking, we the NDC won’t waste our time to give advice to someone like her advice. If we in the NDC were advising her and the government she is serving now they would be acting well. We will never give advise to someone like her, such a loose talker. She claims she has been given proper upbringing so we won’t even go down to their level to advise them. 2020 the brothels and the witches will queue to vote and they will vote out the incompetent and arrogant government.”

Ursula Owusu has been in the news this week for comments she has allegedly made when she was rejecting a suggestion from fellow legislator Cassiel Ato Forson to withdraw directive to Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) to stop upfront deduction of the Communications Service Tax (CST).

Ursula Owusu said the MP’s reading of the law is his opinion, adding that if she wants lessons in good morals, “I certainly won’t go to the brothel for it.”

Again, Ursula Owusu is alleged to have said that anyone complaining of hardship under the current Akufo-Addo administration is a ‘witch’.
