Happy FM feeds residents of Fadama at 2024 SalaFest

Happy98.9FM’s 2024 Salah food festival cooking competition at the Fadama Lorry Park in the Ayawaso municipality of the Greater Accra Region ended with a heartwarming gesture, as the station fed over 500 residents and children with delicious and healthy meals.

In a show of generosity, HappyFM treated the gathering to a feast, showcasing the rich culinary traditions and distinct flavours of the participating Zongo communities. This act of kindness was the highlight of the event, which featured 10 communities competing in a cooking competition.

The event was graced with music and performances from Rashid Metal, Kobby Shawn, and other talented artists, creating a joyful atmosphere filled with pleasant aromas from the cooking.

Happy FM feeds residents of Fadama at 2024 SalaFest

According to Kwabena Ampong, Program Manager for HappyFM, “We are happy to engage the community of Fadama and the youth there. Our brand is always ready to engage directly with the people and involve the youth in our activities. This special salah food fest competition has exposed many of the competitors here to exhibit their cooking skills. We intend to promote togetherness and appreciation of your unique contributions to the nation’s food culture.”

The Salah food festival cooking competition was a resounding success, with HappyFM’s generosity and commitment to community engagement leaving a lasting impression on the attendees.
