Happy 98.9 FM’s seasoned producer, Lawrenda Danso, has been named “Media Producer of the Year” at the prestigious 2025 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA, cementing her place among the most accomplished media professionals in Ghana.
Lawrenda, who has built an enviable career spanning over 15 years in radio and television production, distinguished herself from a pool of leading industry contenders to clinch the coveted award.
Currently the producer of the Happy Evening Drive, she works alongside celebrated broadcaster Veronica Napoleon (Akua Sika), playing a pivotal role in maintaining the program’s position as one of Ghana’s most engaging and widely listened-to drive-time shows.

Her creative direction and meticulous production style continue to deliver content that resonates with diverse audiences.
Beyond her work on Happy FM, Lawrenda has an extensive portfolio, having produced some of Ghana’s most notable radio and TV programs, including the Late-Night Celebrity Show, Afia Schwarzenegger Show, African Women’s Voices, Ghana Today, and E-Request.
Over the years, she has collaborated with high-profile personalities such as Eddy Blay, Giovanni Caleb, Vanessa Gyan, Dzifa Nkansah, Eunice Tornyi, Foster Romanus, and Linzy Joy—a testament to her adaptability across formats and her ability to elevate on-air talent.
