The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, has embarked on a stakeholder engagement tour of the Western North Region as part of activities marking the Christmas season.
According to a statement posted on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Health, the first day of the tour saw, Mr. Akandoh meet with key stakeholders, including commanders of the security services, political party representatives, traditional authorities, Members of Parliament, and heads of government agencies. The engagements took place in Bibiani, Sefwi Wiawso, Asawinso, and Bodi.
During the interactions, the Health Minister announced the commencement of the construction of a new Regional Hospital for the Western North Region, noting that the project will significantly enhance healthcare delivery and improve access to quality health services for residents.
Mr. Akandoh emphasized that the development of the health sector remains a top priority for the President of the Republic of Ghana, adding that the President has demonstrated strong commitment by providing the necessary support to strengthen healthcare delivery across the country.
Stakeholders expressed appreciation to the Minister for the visit and commended his dedication to the development of the Western North Region, particularly his efforts toward improving healthcare infrastructure and services.
