The National Chapters Council chairman for Hearts of Oak, Elvis Heman Hesse says the club must recruit quality and experienced players to be able to compete and win the Ghana league.

According to him, the current players at the club are average especially those who played against Wa All Stars in Sunday’s friendly which ended in a draw at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Speaking on Anopa Bosuo Sports on Happy FM, he said, “Most of the players I saw yesterday during our game were average players. Most of the supporters attacked me after the game. Hearts of Oak supporters have been very patient with the team”.

“We need some extraordinary players who can quickly change the face of the team during these games. Honestly if we continue like this, we can play the league without winning anything”.

He further said, the team must improve upon its performances which will attract the supporters to the stadium.

“We need to work really hard because this is not Heart of Oak . I sat in my chair after yesterday’s game asking myself how we can help the team”.

“As a chairman I can bring many supporters to the stadium but if the team’s performance is not good, they won’t come. I am pleading with them to continue to be patient. I will engage management with the coach. I came to meet Kim Grant so I don’t know what targets were set for him”.

“We need to be a bit cautious going into next season. We can win the league. It is not too late but our target should be to get a respectable position after the league”, he concluded.
