Hearts of Oak continued their dominant run in the Ghana Premier League, extending their unbeaten streak to eight games with a hard-fought victory over Heart of Lions.

Hearts of Oak demonstrated their tenacity and resolve throughout the game despite being reduced to 10 men against a tough Lions team

Lions initially showed their attacking prowess, creating several scoring opportunities and managing to take the lead just before halftime. Mustapha Yakubu’s precision free kick left Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah with no chance, putting Lions ahead.

However, Hearts of Oak quickly responded after the break as midfielder Salim Adams rose to the occasion, heading home a free kick delivered by Martin Karikari to level the score in the 49th minute.

Despite the setback of Dennis Nkrumah Korsah receiving a straight red card, Hearts of Oak continued to push forward relentlessly, showcasing their determination to secure the win in the football fixture

Their perseverance paid off when Congolese midfielder Linda Mtange capitalized on a rebound from Adams’ long-range effort, finding the back of the net in the 64th minute and giving Hearts of Oak the lead for the first time in the match.

Coach Aboubakar Ouattara continues to maintain a stellar record of three victories and two draws in his initial five games in charge as Hearts of Oak coach.
