Leading brand in Integrated Marketing Communications, Global Media Alliance, in a maiden webinar series dubbed ‘Effective Marketing Communication during COVID-19’, has discussed effective ways of leveraging on digitization during and after COVID-19.

A presentation titled ‘The Digital-led Recovery from COVID-19’ by one of the key resource person, Eli Daniel-Wilson, Head of Digital Innovation at GMA, stressed on the importance of harnessing digital trends during and after COVID-19.

In his presentation he revealed that there has been increase in the usage of Twitter, the consumption of news content and the use of instant messaging and SMS, among others since the outbreak of the pandemic.

He furthered that with the increase in the use of digital technologies, this means that “there is no alternative to digital transformation”.

He noted that companies should consider “adapting their products or services for digital, take advantage of digital channels and reconsider the digital culture of their businesses”.

The Webinar which was held via Zoom Meetings on the 8th of May 2020, featured other key resource persons such as Gayheart Mensah and Ahuma Cabutey Adodoadji with support from Global Media Alliance’s resource person, Roger Adekpui who gave insights on what brands should do during the coronavirus in order to remain humane during the pandemic.

The Global Media Alliance webinar series was partnered by e.tv Ghana, Happy FM, YFM and Perception Management International.
