Member of Parliament for Sekondi and Minister of Tourism, Andrews Agyapa Mercer, says he is confident in parliament conducting the business of the house as planned as members return to the house for the final session of the 8th Parliament of the Republic of Ghana.

According to him, today’s parliamentary sitting is a regular sitting like any other parliamentary sitting.

When asked of his other colleagues who lost their seats in the just ended parliamentary elections, Agyapa Mercer, responded that, he expects every member of parliament to attend just as he did.

“My presence here certainly proves that assertion, I lost the elections for the 9th parliament and still a member of the 8th parliament representing the good people of Sekondi and I am here to do my job”, he stated during an interaction with some journalists ahead of Parliament’s sitting today.

Andrews Agyapa Mercer is part of the MPs on the Majority side of parliament who lost their seats in the just ended elections.
