I can deliver as Ghana FA President – Fred Pappoe

Former Black Stars management committee chairman, Fred Pappoe has reiterated his desire to become the next Ghana Football Association president.

The nation’s football governing body seat became vacant following the resignation of Kwesi Nyantakyi in the wake an expose by undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas on football corruption.

Pappoe, who is the director of Accra Great Olympics, is looking to make a return into the leadership position at the federation following his exit from the Executive Committee in 2015.

The former GFA Vice President has been identified as a knowledgeable and experienced person who would be a good candidate for the GFA Presidency.

“I will contest for GFA presidency this year. I believe I can do it and deliver very well,” Pappoe disclosed on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports.

“With my knowledge and experience in the football, I believe I’ve a lot to offer Ghana football. I have been there before so I am not new to the football scene.”

“I’m not disappointed that the Normalisation Committee haven’t opened a roadmap for election yet. We give them work to do so we must give them time to do a good job.”

“I have a campaign team that we’re in existence for a long time in and out of the country. Those who have expressed their interest in contesting for the seat are competent enough.”
