Songstress Efya has said that ‘beefs’ in the music industry may be important for others but definitely not for her because her time is used in making money.
Speaking to DJ Advicer on Happy FM’s ‘Ayekoo’ after drive show on the current ‘beefs’ in the industry and her stands on the general ‘beefing’ practice she said, “I don’t have time, there’s money to be made, it’s literally in the air, we have to just grab it.”
Out of curiosity, DJ Advicer asked if these ‘beefs’ are staged in order to maintain relevance in the industry. Efya answered him saying, “The music industry is a movie and in movies anything can happen so you just got to keep your eyes on the road, on your road, mind your business, grow yourself, protect your mental health and become the person that you want to become before you concern yourself so much with what is happening in someone else’s life and that now becomes your life. I don’t think it’s healthy.”
The current ad hottest ‘beef’ now in the industry is between ‘King Sark’ and dancehall king, Shatta Wale.
