Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Efya has admitted she took a pause from singing to treat her emotional wound, as a result of her partner ripping her heart to pieces.
Speaking about her extended absence from the entertainment scene, she stated that it was because she was ‘served breakfast’ which she obviously never envisaged.
“I was heartbroken that I didn’t want to sing. You know I’m a baby girl so the way I feel matters to me a lot, and it wasn’t something I wanted to deal with at that time”.
Efya also said that she had been working nonstop in the music business for the past 15 years which she actively participated in a number of exhibits over the course of this prolonged period, actively promoting her work and also needed the break.
“Also, I’ve been working for 15 years without break and in between these times I’ve been performing on all the shows and still representing. And I think I gave everyone their feature,” she concluded.
