I want to be like Wizkid – Kuami Eugene

Eugene Kwame Marfo, popularly known as Kuami Eugene, one of Ghana’s fast-rising stars has said that he wants to be like Nigerian superstar Wizkid.
In an interview on e.tv Ghana’s Late Nite Celebrity show, the host Foster Romanus asked if it was true that he had once stated his desire to be like Wizkid, he answered saying “I said Wizkid was my target, he was my focus, not that I want to be like him. He is the target of my career, he has achieved a lot and I want to go that high.”
Kuami Eugene entered the MTN Hitmaker Competition in 2016 and finish at the second-runner up position in the season’s finale. He was signed shortly after to the award-winning Ghanaian record, Lynx Entertainment.
Kuami Eugene rapidly became one of the fastest rising stars in Ghana in 2017 with the release of hit singles ‘Ebeyeyie’, ‘Hribaba’, ‘Show Dem’ and ‘Boom
Bang Bang’ but it was the release of his single ‘Angela’ that made him a household name the Ghanaian music industry.
