Founder and leader of the Movement for Change, Alan Kyerematen has assured Ghanaians that he is the best candidate to lead the country out of its current economic crises.

Speaking at the launch of the Great Transformational Plan at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Monday, June 24, Mr. Kyerematen pointed out that despite decades of rule by the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party, they have failed to deliver significant developmental projects.

He praised Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s efforts in fighting for independence, but lamented that 67 years later, Ghana still struggles with self-sufficiency in food production, job creation, and reliable electricity supply.

He promised to establish a government of national unity, bringing all Ghanaians together to share ideas and develop the country. He emphasized that Ghana needs a yearly plan, not manifestos, and his administration will introduce a new policy blueprint for transformation.

“Although our situation may be disquieting, the good news is that Ghana still remains a favored nation in both the physical and spiritual realms. What we need now is a transformational leader, a paradigm shift in our governance system as well as a mind change in Ghanaians. we have an opportunity in the general election in December this year to cross that bridge and move Ghana into a new era of peace and prosperity by electing me as the first independent candidate to become the president of Ghana,’ he said

Additionally, he pledged to reduce the number of ministers in his administration to no more than 40, ensuring a more efficient government.

“So let me start with the economic cluster, the economic cluster consists of four pillars namely, the macroeconomy, industrial transformation, a new agricultural revolution, and tourism. The macroeconomic pillar starts with our policies on expenditure management and control. And i propose the following policy solutions. One, reduce the current size of the government and run a lean executive administration consisting of not more than forty ministers,” he added.
