President of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for his bold stance in holding both past and current government appointees accountable.

Speaking during President Mahama’s “Thank You” visit at the Sunyani Jubilee Park in the Bono Region, on Friday, May 30, Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II expressed his appreciation for the government’s commitment to accountability.

He noted that holding former appointees responsible for their actions sets a strong precedent and sends a clear message to current officials.

Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II urged President Mahama to continue enforcing accountability among all government appointees without fear or favor.

Commenting on the Minority’s protest at the EOCO headquarters on Thursday, May 29 asking for a review of NPP Ashanti Regional Chairman, Bernard Antwi Boasiako’s bail conditions, Osagyefo Agyeman Badu II criticized the behavior of Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin and his colleagues, particularly their decision to sit on the bare floor.

He stated that such actions diminish the dignity and respect Ghanaians have for the Minority in Parliament.

He humorously added that Afenyo-Markin should feel free to call him the next time he plans such a protest, and he would ensure that chairs are provided for him by the elders.
