Inaki Williams should lead the charge against Nicaragua – Edward Afum

Former Asante Kotoko striker Edward Afum, says Inaki Williams would be his preferred choice to lead the charge for the Black Stars of Ghana today in their upcoming friendly against Nicaragua.

The Black Stars would be hoping to put their preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 finals back on track when they take on Nicaragua after they were silenced 3-0 by Brazil on Friday, a defeat that caused a stir in the West African country.

Sharing his thoughts during an interview on Happy Sports with regards to what formation would be much suitable for today’s friendly against Nicaragua, the former Asante kotoko forward explained that some of the old players have shown what they are made off and it is about time more of the new players are integrated into this match.

“The selection of the lineup for today’s game is in the hands of the coach.

“If it was within my power I would opt for Inaki Williams to lead the charge for the black stars because when he fielded the old guys even like Afena Gyan, we all saw the output.

“So preferably, Inaki should lead the charge in today’s game”. He told Ohene Bampoe Brenya.

He added that Inaki Williams has shown that if confidence is confided in him he would be able to bring out results for the Stars so he should be the main man upfront today.
