New Patriotic Party (NPP) vigilante group, the Invisible Forces, have threatened to send the ruling party back to opposition should they dare disband the group.

Richard Techie, Chairman of the group in the Ashanti Region speaking in an interview on Accra based radio station [Rainbow radio] said, not even the President of the Republic Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo can disband the group because he [Nana Addo] has given them his blessing.

According to him, they met with the president on regular basis before the 2016 general elections and he assured them of his support.

‘’We cannot be disbanded. There is no leader or political party with the courage to disband vigilante groups. Since the era of Nkrumah, we have witnessed the existence of vigilante groups so who dares disband us.”

He added that, “NPP maybe signing their way out of office should they dare to disband them.”

He disclosed they were promised lucrative jobs but after the party had won power, they have abandoned them.

Richard Techie also revealed of a demonstration to be staged by the over 3,700 members of the Invisible Forces in the region to press home their demand for jobs as promised by the NPP. “The NPP should deliver on their promise to get us jobs before we hit the streets.”

“They used us for the elections. They did not pay us but appealed we sacrifice for them so they will also reward us with any job of our choice but they failed to honour their part of the deal and we are disappointed,’’ he lamented.
