The Black Queens continued knocking on the post of the Ivorians in the second half but to no avail as Grace Asantewaa missed a clear goal scoring opportunity in the 56th minute of the game.

Central referee, Patience Madu N’didi, from Nigeria, in the 65th minute stopped the game due to heavy downpour. But just after a few minutes, she called both teams back to the field to continue with the game .The match failed to produce any goal between the two teams when it resumed, making both sides unbeaten in the on-going competition.

After finishing second in group A with 7 points and 8 goals behind Ivory Coast with 7 points and 9 goals, the Black Queens are likely to meet Nigeria or Mali in the semifinal stage.
Ivorian captain, Coulibaly atou ,was adjudged the ‘Most Valuable Player’ at the end of 90 minutes.
