Just In: Coronavirus Outbreak: 2 responding to treatment 1 discharged in Ghana

Information reaching Happyghana.com indicates that one person who tested positive coronavirus (COVID 19) has been discharged from the Greater Accra Regional Hospital (Ridge).

According to the source, three patients out of the seven Ghana’s confirmation of the case of coronavirus in the country were sent to the Ridge Hospital for treatment of which one has fully recovered and has been discharged.

The reliable source also disclosed that, by close of tomorrow, 20th March 2020, the two will be discharged because they have also responded to treatment.

Earlier today, the Information Minister announced that Ghana’s case count of the novel coronavirus has hit nine.

Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, in a tweet, said the cases were confirmed overnight.

“Health services are still managing all suspected and confirmed cases well,” he said in a tweet.

This was also confirmed during the breakfast prayer meeting being held at the Jubilee House on Thursday.

President Akufo-Addo is hosting Christian leaders from some of the country’s top denominations.

They are offering prayers for the country as cases for the novel coronavirus increases to nine.

“We pray for the nine people who have already been compromised. We ask that you heal them. That will heal them in Jesus’ name,” as stated as one of the key prayer topics.
