The Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) has insisted that election 2020 is a sure win for them.

According to the party, just like the recent happenings in the English Premier League where some top teams lost disgracefully to underdogs in the league, the same can be said of the outcome of the December 7 polls.

Founder and presidential aspirant of the party, Kofi Akpaloo speaking in an interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s Epa Hoa Daben hosted by Afrifa-Mensah said;

“By God’s grace, we as LPG will win the election. Just like Aston Villa and
Tottenham beat Liverpool and Manchester United respectively, as underdogs, we will win the election”.

He furthered that over two hundred and two (202) people are going to contest on the ticket of the LPG in the upcoming elections as parliamentary aspirants and that proves that the party will surely win the presidential race.

Questioning his readiness for the election, Afrifa-Mensah asked if incidents leading to his disqualification in the 2016 election would repeat itself, Kofi Akpaloo had this to say;

“In 2016, the same person who signed for me also signed for another candidate and that is why I was disqualified.

But this time around, it’ll not repeat itself. Those who signed my forms did that for me alone”.

He added that he even has some people as back up to sign his forms should the unfortunate happen.

“I have people on standby who are willing to go with me to the EC office to file my nomination. And if anything happens and I have to get someone to sign for me, they will be there. I have prepared myself well and I have come to win the election”, he added.
