Hearts of Oak head coach, Kim Grant has expressed his disappointment over losing yesterday to their
Rivals Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports stadium in the Tier I Special Competition semi-finals game.

The phobians lost the game on penalties by 5-4 when Mohammad Alhassan missed his penalty kick. After 90 minutes of action, the game ended 1:1 courtesy Abdul Fatawu Safiu got the early goal for Kotoko and Christopher Bonney who converted a penalty kick in the 90th minutes to push the game info penalty kicks.

Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s Anopa Bosuo Sports, the former Ghana International disclosed, “Everybody is disappointed at the outcome of the match. We gave out our all. The team is getting stronger as hopefully we will come back for the league title when it starts. I am disappointed but I know penalty is based on luck. After the Kotoko earlier goal, we dominated. I will congratulate CK AKunnor .”

Notwithstanding losing to their Sworn rivals, Kim Grants praised his players for putting up a good performance and the fans for their continuous support

“It is time for us to reflect and move forward. We have done well so we will restrategize.All the players gave out their 100% effort yesterday.The atmosphere was fantastic and i must thank the supporters for coming out in their numbers .The fans have been very positive and the players are comfortable playing at Accra sports stadium.”- he added.

The 46-year-old who doubles as director of football for the club signed a three year contract last year with the Phobians.
