Former Ghana Football Association Executive Council member, Kojo Yankah has backed Wilfred Osei Kwaku popularly known as Osei Palmer to come out victorious in the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) ruling on his disqualification from contesting in last year’s FA elections.

Osei Palmer as he is popularly called in the media circles was disqualified by the then Normalisation Committee headed by Dr Kofi Amoah from competing in the GFA presidential elections for failing to pay a 10 per cent player transfer fee to the FA.

Sharing his view on the ruling that is yet to come out on Friday July 17, Kojo Yankah is of the view that Palmer was disqualified unfairly by the Normalisation Committee and the CAS ruling will vindicate him when it comes out.

“The rules are clear that Palmer shouldn’t have been disqualified”, he told Odiasempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Sports on Happy 98.9FM

“The Normalisation Committee (NC) was not fair to Palmer and did not apply the rules. So CAS will adhere to the rules and issue out a fair judgement which will go in Palmer’s favour”, he added.
