The wife of the Asante Kotoko fan shot by the Police officer at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday has his left eye blinded after the incident, Happy Sports can confirm.
The fan identified as Kweku Oppong was operated on Monday with four bullets reported to have been taken out of his head after surgery.
In an interview with the wife called Theresa Oppong on Happy Sports, she confirmed that his husband’s condition is stable but will not be able to see with his left eye which has been damaged after the shooting.
The Ghana Police Service and Ghana Football Association are cooperating to unravel what led to the shooting incident at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Ghana Police Service has issued a statement indicating the Police Officer to have fired the shot has been interdicted.
