Management member of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Edmund Ackah, says the Porcupine Warriors will play their semi-final clash with rivals Accra Hearts of Oak in the Tier I of the NC Special Competition despite the various controversies that have come up concerning the said match.

Speaking to Ohene Bampoe-Brenya on Happy FM’s ‘Anopa Bosuo Sports’,the Accra representative of the Kumasi based club said the Executive Chairman of the club, Dr. Kwame Kyei, has decided to honor the game on Sunday 16th June 2019.

“We are not expecting any form of revenue from the Normalization Committee so we will play Hearts come June 16 just like how we play friendly matches. Dr. Kwame Kyei says the money won’t do anything for Kotoko. He is not a kid to be toying with. This money is not close to the blessings God has blessed Dr Kwame Kyei,” Mr. Ackah revealed.

“If they sent Cudjoe Fianoo to meet Dr Kwame Kyei to agree on the figures which members of the competition committee confirmed on various media platforms but they are now saying this, then we will take anything they give us”.

“Management of Kotoko has no issue with Sammy Kuffour and I don’t remember any members ever saying they have a problem with him. The last time I saw Sammy Kuffour was when we went to the GFA secretariat for Amo Sarpong’s case. He sacked myself and Nana Kwame Danquah out of the meeting.”
