Traditional leaders in the Kpandai Constituency have emphasized their strong opposition to any proposed rerun of the parliamentary elections, appealing to President John Dramani Mahama to intervene in the interest of peace and stability.
The chiefs made their position known at a press conference held on Monday, December 8, 2025, where they expressed deep concern over what they described as deliberate attempts by some groups to create tension and undermine the will of the people.
Speaking on behalf of the chiefs and queen mothers of Kpandai, Nana Nkpegyator Nkpawiase II stated that the constituency has already clearly spoken through the ballot box, and any move to push for a rerun could threaten the prevailing peace in the area. According to the traditional leaders, the electoral process was transparent, peaceful, and a true reflection of the will of the electorate.
“We therefore appeal to His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama, to intervene and ensure that justice and peace prevail in Kpandai.”
