The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Krowor, Ing. Paul Afotey Quaye, has urged traditional leaders within his municipality to leverage the Homowo celebrations as a springboard for fostering peace, unity, and development across the area.
He made this appeal during a ceremonial donation of assorted food items to the Nungua Traditional Authorities, local family houses, and the Nungua Old Players Association (NOPA), in anticipation of the much-loved Kplejoo Festival football match between local rivals Nungua XI and Teshie XI.
The gesture, which reflects a deep respect for cultural traditions, also underscores the MCE’s commitment to strengthening ties between modern governance and traditional institutions.
Ing. Quaye emphasized that festivals like Homowo are more than just celebrations and they are powerful opportunities to promote harmony and mutual growth in the municipality.
