Looting and damaging of properties: Police arrest 18 more suspects

Looting and damaging of properties: Police arrest 18 more suspects

The Ghana Police Service has arrested 18 more individuals who are believed to be suspects in looting and causing damage.

According to the police, investigations currently ongoing reveals these individuals are connected to looting and causing damage in some parts of the country.

The Police in a statement mentioned that, their arrests add to the already arrested individuals bringing the number to a total of thirty (30) arrested individuals.

Meanwhile, the police has also confirmed the death of one of the suspects who was shot by an accomplice during the attack.

The police stated that, the death of the suspect was confirmed by medical authorities.

The police however mentioned that, intelligence- led operations are ongoing to arrest other perpetrators to face justice.

The police has asked the public to remain calm as it has deployed officers to key locations to intensify patrols as well as maintain law and order.
