Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga has condemned the “gruesome” and “dastardly” murder of Mohammed Seidu Akugri, the Bongo District Director of the National Health Insurance Authority.

In a recent statement Mahama Ayariga expressed deep condolences to the family of Mohammed Seidu Akugri, referring to him as a “comrade”.

He called for a thorough investigation into the murder and law enforcement to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice, providing closure for the family and holding those responsible accountable for their actions.

The Majority leader commended the youth of Bawku for showing restraint and reaffirming their commitment to peace.

He emphasized that progress is being made toward restoring stability in the area and warned against actions that could derail the peace process.

“I urge all to remain calm and let’s focus on the ongoing efforts of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to bring a lasting solution to the Bawku situation,” parts of the statement read.
