Former National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament (MP) for La Dadekotopon Nii Amasah Namoale, has taken a swipe at Former President John Dramani Mahama and his campaign team for renting people to make Mahama look popular.

According to Namoale, Mahama and his campaign team bussed people to come and cheer him [Mahama] at the recently held NDC National Delegates Conference at Trade Fair.

He described the cheering and rousing welcome given to Mahama when he arrived at the congress grounds as fake because his team acted to make the former president appear as the best choice.

Speaking in an interview on Accra based radio station Namoale said, ‘’I can state on authority that, the people who cheered Mahama when he arrived on Sunday at the congress, were rented crowd. They were not delegates. About 90% of the delegates had left before Mahama arrived. Ade Coker and other campaign team members rented the crowd to come and cheer Mr. Mahama to look as if he is the obvious choice. He is not the best choice and unpopular. Alabi is a better candidate.’’

Nii Amasah Namoale is a member of Professor Joshua Alabi’s campaign team and he is optimistic of victory for Professor Joshua Alabi.

In his view, the former head of the University of Professional Studies will win the NDC presidential primaries hands down and give the party a one-touch victory in the 2020 general elections.
