President John Dramani Mahama has taken a significant step in addressing three petitions submitted by various individuals calling for the removal of Chief Justice Gertrude Torkonoo.
In line with Article 146 of the 1992 Constitution, the President has referred the petitions to the Council of State to initiate the required consultation process.
The announcement was made on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, in a statement issued by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications.
