President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a nationwide Thank You Tour, with the Volta Region as his first stop this Friday January 24, 2025, according to a statement from the Presidency on Wednesday, January 22.

The tour is aimed at expressing gratitude to the people of Ghana for their overwhelming support and trust in President Mahama during the 2024 elections. The Presidency described the initiative as an opportunity to strengthen the bond between the President and citizens while recognizing their contributions to the nation’s progress.

In the Volta Region, President Mahama will be welcomed with a grand durbar of chiefs, queen mothers, opinion leaders, religious leaders, labor union representatives, and informal sector leaders.

“This momentous event will aim to solidify the bond between the President and the citizens while celebrating their vital contributions to our nation,” the statement noted.

The Presidency also highlighted President Mahama’s commitment to fulfilling his campaign promises, citing his historic achievement of announcing a full cabinet within two weeks of assuming office. This swift action, the statement said, underscores his dedication to effective governance and addressing Ghana’s pressing challenges.

The Presidency has called on all Ghanaians to join in unity and celebration during this significant event.

“We look forward to a vibrant and successful event in the Volta Region as we recognize and honour our fellow citizens’ invaluable support and trust,” the statement concluded.
