Mahama submits nomination forms; speaks on Monday

Former President of the Republic and flag bearer hopeful of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, will submit his nomination forms at the headquarters of the party on Monday, December 17, 2018.

The event will take place midday, a statement dated Saturday, December 15, 2018, and signed by Mr. Mahama’s spokesperson, James Agyenim Boateng has said.

The former Ghanaian Leader is expected to proceed to Pavilion A of the Trade Fair Center at La in Accra at 1:30pm to address the media.

John Dramani Mahama is one of the key contenders seeking to lead the opposition NDC into election 2020.

It is his third time seeking lead to umbrella family after going unopposed in 2012 and surviving a Yes and No primary in 2016.

Mr. Mahama this time around, faces stiff competition, especially, from the Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament and MP for Nadowli/Kaleo, Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, whom sources say, is winning the hearts of the party’s grassroots supporters and is projected to cause an upset in the race.

Other high ranking party officials including, Mr. Ekow Spio-Garbrah, Prof. Joshua Alabi, Sylvester Mensah, Nurudeen Iddrisu, Goosie Tanoh and the ‘poor boy from Binduri’, Stephen Atubigah are all lacing their boots for the same position.
