Former Black Stars striker, Anthony Yeboah has reacted to Ghana’s elimination from the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco.

The Black Stars on Friday, November 15, 2024, were officially eliminated from the 2025 AFCON qualifiers following the team’s 1-1 draw against Angola.

Anthony Yeboah who was reacting to the outcome of the game in an interview with Happy Sports said the team is currently at the level it is because leadership doesn’t listen to advice.

He said instead of leadership listening to the people who have been there before, they ignore and have no value for what they say.

“The current management of the Black Stars does not value or act on the advice we, as former players, offer,” Anthony Yeboah said on Happy FM.

The Black Stars are currently bottom in Group F with 3 points and a win on match day 6 against Niger won’t matter as second placed Sudan has 7 points ahead of the final round of games.

Anthony Yeboah had 59 appearances for the Black Stars and scored 29 goals from 1985-1997.
