Ultra-modern Studio invokes hot exchange between Mark Okraku Mantey and Kwaku Osei Korankye.

A lot of talks has centered around issues with regards to the ultra-modern studio about to be built to serve the Ghana music industry.

President of the Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey and Kwaku Osei Korankye Asiedu, Business Development Executive of Uncle Ebo Whyte’s Roverman Productions on Doctor Cann’s ‘Showbiz Xtra’ on Happy FM had a hot exchange of words which could have ended up in a fist fight if they were together in the studio.

Kwaku made some utterances calling Mark ‘one wise man’, but this unfortunately did not go down well with Mark who called into the show to react to Kwaku’s utterances.

“Please who made the comment about the studio? Please tell Kwaku that he should respectfully speak like he works with Uncle Ebo Whyte, because with due respect Uncle Ebo Whyte is a wise man. You can’t come and sit on radio and because you think you have access to a microphone, you can talk anyhow. Don’t qualify me with ‘wise person’, it’s an insult. I speak and understand ‘Twi’ very well. I’m a true Akan so you can’t sit there and say ‘one wise person’ says we should go and build a studio besides with all due respect, if I say that this is what we want to do as where I sit in governance, does that warrant this insult?” he said.

Kwaku responded saying, “I’ve not insulted him so he shouldn’t insult me, you carry all the wisdom in the world in your head, you can keep it. I haven’t insulted you and I stand by what I said, I said if one wise man feels it’s right that we build a studio it’s fine but ask for the opinion of others. Have I said something wrong?”

Mark responded to Kwaku saying, “Then you don’t understand ‘Twi , you don’t know what you are saying.”

Kwaku took offense and burst out saying, “You are the one with all the wisdom in the world, we are having a conversation, and how do you insult people. You see we should learn to talk like people who have been given space.”

“If you welcome people like this on your platform it is up to you,” Mark responded.

“We don’t need you in the industry Mark, emptiness is what is killing the game,” Kwaku retaliated.

Mark reacted saying, “When we started this game he was selling at GBC.”

For now, it is obvious that most of the entertainment gurus are not in support of the building of the ultra-modern studio.
